How the hybrid works
Three stages, in order.
Read the dashed ring as "screen" and the solid ring as "clippers". The program moves from one to the other, then to the exam.
Online coursework
Theory, sciences, sanitation, chemistry and the business of barbering — studied through the academy's online program on your own schedule.
Only theory happens online. Every haircut, shave and client service in this program happens on the academy floor.
On-campus hands-on training

Licensure preparation
Prepare for the Texas State Barber Exam — written and practical.
What changes, what doesn't
Same license. Same floor. Same instructors.
The hybrid changes where you study theory. It does not change what a Texas barber has to be able to do with their hands.

The Class A requirement is the same 1,000 clock hours, and the same Texas State Barber Exam at the end.

Your 500 on-campus hours include supervised work on walk-in clients through Student Services.

Where theory happens
500 hours of coursework move to the academy's online program, on your schedule, so you can keep working while you train.
Tuition
$9,500 — the same total as the on-campus program.
Payment structure for the hybrid program is not separately published; the concept shows the Class A structure and points to admissions. The on-campus plan is a $1,125 enrollment fee, $875 first month and 12 payments of $625.
Confirm current hybrid pricing and your payment plan with admissions before you enroll. The academy does not offer financial aid at this time. Veterans Education Benefits and cash payments are also accepted.
